Description
The Pekingese, often called a Peke, is a regal little companion with a surprisingly big attitude. They carry themselves with an air of dignified self-importance, a trait refined over centuries as cherished lapdogs for Chinese royalty. Pekes are fiercely devoted to their chosen person, often to the exclusion of others, and aren't afraid to voice their opinions with a determined bark. While they enjoy a relaxed pace, they possess a stubborn streak and won't be persuaded easily. Their independent spirit means training requires patience, but the bond they form is deep and unwavering, making them unique and charming household monarchs.
