The Perdiguero de Burgos is a devoted and calm companion, though their heritage as a pointing dog means they possess a keen nose and an intense drive to work. Around the house, they're generally relaxed, enjoying quiet time with their family. However, once outdoors, their switch flips; they become focused and tireless, constantly searching for scent. They thrive on having a job to do and are incredibly biddable, eager to please their human. This intelligence and desire to cooperate makes them wonderful training partners, but they do require consistent mental and physical engagement to prevent boredom and maintain their manners. They form deep bonds and are extremely loyal.
